HISTORY

With nearly 20 years of experience, Kai Toft elektronik aps supplies digital instruments, customized development-tasks and production with a growing marketing share as sub-contractor for the electronic industry.

Kai Toft elektronik aps, formed by Kai Toft, started in 1988 with development and production of digital instruments and controllers. The first custom project including development and production carried out the year after.
 
Right from the start, all developments was based on SMT, where components were mounted by hand followed by a gluing process.
This demanded a highly skilled and well educated staffs which still is a fundamental principle today.

In 1992 we settled ourselves in the southern parts of Skive with newly fitted production facility.
Three years later we invested in our first SMD machine, a Dynaperth, which highly increased the capacity.

As the production was stil increasing we later on expanded the production with two more Dynaperth’s.
As SMD components still get smaller and smaller we had to replace the old machines with two new SMD machines in year 2000.
Not only where they capable of mounting the smaller components, it also boomed the productivity highly.

Only a year after we grew out of our physical frames and decided to expand our production area. The new building came to use in marts 2002 and the old where reconditioned and made fully up to date with ESD safety.

In the end of the year 2004 we increased the SMD capacity once again with a new machine, whereby we now are able to mount chip components down to size 0201, micro BGAs and 256 pin QFP circuits.
 
2005 became a superb year. One of our major clients had big success and that led directly towards us. We expanded even more and bought another SMD machine, meaning that we now have 2 full SMD production lines.

We also succeed our production after the RHOS directives and it's now a fully part of our productions.

Ones again our areas became sufficient wherefore we decided to invest in a larger factory building on H.C. Oersteds vej, still in Skive.

Today our production facilities holds over 2000 m2 and all standards for ESD safety, constant climate temperature and air moisture for preserving unleaded components are strictly maintained. Also the RHOS directive is now fully implemented in our production.

All our SMD production lines now have AOI systems for optimum quality.
Production standard is IPC 610 A Class 3 (the best).
